日本光学会(応用物理学会)「偏光計測・制御技術研究グループ」は、本年6月29日（金）に
第8回偏光計測研究会を開催いたします．
偏光の計測・制御は，液晶の基礎研究から液晶デバイスの製品開発に至るあらゆるステージで非常に重要な光学技術です．
今回は大変貴重なチュートリアル講演が予定されていますので，液晶研究に携わる皆様方の積極的な聴講ご参加を心よりお待ち申し上げます．

　いつも日本光学会　偏光計測・制御技術研究グループの活動にご協力戴きましてありがとうございます．
　下記のように，６月29日(金)に第８回偏光計測研究会を株式会社堀場製作所東京セールスオフィス(東京・淡路町)にて開催致します。
　本研究会は、エリプソメトリーやポラリメトリーに代表される偏光を用いた計測技術に関して議論と情報交換を行い、この技術分野における日本の研究開発を活性化し、そのレベルを向上しようとする集まりです。
　2007年11月から活動を開始し、半年毎に研究会を開催しております。これまでに東北大学（仙台）、産業技術総合研究所（つくば）、北海道大学（札幌）、横浜市立大学（横浜）、山梨大学（甲府）、宇都宮大学、東京工芸大学と7回開催されてきました。
　偏光計測に関心をお持ちの研究者、技術者、学生の皆様のご参加をお待ちしております。また、本開催案内を適宜関係者の方々に転送いただければ幸いです。なお、偏光計測研究会のホームページにも、この情報が掲載されます。

Dr. Enric GARCIA CAUREL： Resercher at Ecole Polytechnique since 2003.
Expert in Photonics, Polarization of light – Ellipsometry, Optical properties of materials and Optical instrumentation. He has developed three prototype polarimeters working in different spectral ranges such as the vacuum ultraviolet, the visible or the mid-infrared. His works include theoretical achievements related to the analysis of polarimetric
measurements and decomposition of Mueller matrices.
At this moment he is working on the industrialization of a patented broadband spectroscopic Mueller ellipsometer working from the ultraviolet to the mid-infrared spectral range.
He has been involved in more than 5 French research projects, 1 European project. He is author of 2 patents and more than 50 communications to international journals and conferences.

Dr. Maria Losurdo is a Senior Scientist of the Italian national Council of Research in Bari, Italy, and Adjunct Professor of Materials Science at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Duke University, NC. After receiving her PhD in Materials science from Bari Univeristy (Italy) she has built on a career exploiting spectroscopic ellipsometry for materials developement through extensive training at the Ecole Polytechnique (France) and at the Chemistry Department of
University of North Carolina. Presently, she runs the Pla.S.Ma & Elly laboratory (Plasmas and ellipsometry for semiconductor and nanostructured materials), where plasma processes for the growth and
treatment of semiconductors and nanostructured materials are developed exploiting real-time ellipsometry metrology. She is coordinating a
European program dedicated to the dissemination and exploitation of ellipsometry and polarimetry. She is editing the book “Ellipsometry at the Nanoscale”
