About Miyazaki
Miyazaki Prefecture is located on the southeastern coast of Kyushu, the southernmost of the four major Japanese islands. Miyazaki City is symbolized by “sun and nature.” With a mild climate, resorts, beaches and sport facilities, Miyazaki is a popular tourist destination in Japan. Miyazaki is also rich in ancient Japanese myths. In the Kojiki and Nihonshoki, Japan’s oldest historical books which were originally written over 1200 years ago, there are many myths and stories based in Miyazaki about the Emperor and the Gods giving birth to Japan.
