The friendship meeting intends to provide young researchers with an opportunity to establish a friendship with each other and to create a network to conduct joint research. This year, we are going to launch the special symposium on \u201cThe leading edge of elastomers and gels\u201d. The symposium is featuring the lecutures of the leading-edge researchers in various fields, not staying in the scope of liquid crystals, but from a wide range of fields. We are looking forward to the active participation of young researchers as well as graduate students, undergraduates and self-proclaimed young members, and short presentations from young researchers. Young researchers are encouraged to give a short presentation to introduce their research.
